Denton Vacuum enhances capability of Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute

March 02, 2015

Denton Vacuum LLC, a leading global supplier of research and production scale thin film technology systems today announced the installation of three thin film deposition systems at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) Department of Imaging, Characterization, & Analytics. QEERI, a member organization of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), partnered with Denton Vacuum in the installation of two Explorer 14 e-beam evaporation systems and a Phoenix 400 in-line RF magnetron sputtering system that will provide enormous research capability in delivering breakthroughs in yield, throughput and equipment up time through multiple, independent and simultaneous processes in a fully automated, high-reliability configurations.

Denton has partnered with QEERI to help them advance their key role as a global driving force in conducting and coordinating long-term and multidisciplinary research that focuses on the critical challenges that face Qatar, its region and the world in securing adequate resources in energy, food and water, among other critical environmental concerns.

“QEERI, through the Qatar Foundation, partnered with Denton Vacuum because of our broad, deep experience in e-beam evaporation, sputtering and PECVD deposition technologies, our global user base comprised of world-class companies, government institutions and universities, as well as Denton’s demonstrated capability to support multiple equipment sets in high profile, globally recognized institutions with many users,” explained Colin Quinn, Denton Vacuum’s Vice-president of Sales & Marketing. “Denton provides continuing support globally after the sale—in servicing, supporting and upgrading equipment sets,” adds Quinn, “that only solidifies and strengthens Denton’s commitment and partnership with the Qatar Foundation for many years to come. With these Denton systems in place, QEERI and QF can showcase their world-class research capability.”
