Denton Vacuum Appoints New Technology Leadership

Moorestown, NJ — Denton Vacuum, LLC, a leading supplier of research and production scale thin film technology systems, is pleased to announce its recent hire of Brian Desmarais, who has joined the Denton Vacuum team serving as Vice President, Technology. Based in Denton Vacuum headquarters in Moorestown, NJ, Mr. Desmarais reports to Frank Cumbo, President & CEO of Denton Vacuum.

Mr. Desmarais’ responsibilities will include application, platform and engineering support for revenue projects, new application & product development, as well as developing technical collateral in support of commercial activities, monitoring new technologies and assessing their potential to become new products or services.

Mr. Desmarais comes to Denton with 30 years of experience as an accomplished international business leader with a proven record of delivering growth in sales, marketing and engineering management with a wide variety of high technology manufacturing companies including 10 years at Axcelis Technologies, a global manufacturer of implant capital equipment for the semiconductor industry. Mr. Desmarais most recently served as Chief Technology Officer at Reterro Incorporated, a start-up in the environmental services sector.

Mr. Desmarais received his bachelor’s degree in Physics from University of Maine and MBA from New Hampshire College. Mr. Desmarais co-holds several product patents.

Cumbo, Denton Vacuum’s President and CEO, in welcoming Brian and his expertise, explains the role that will lead Denton’s technology, its process and product development, and qualification, stating: “We expect Denton’s execution of its technical roadmap for process technology—including its product performance, process development and product launches—will accelerate under Brian’s direction and implementation.”
