Moorestown, NJ, April 10, 2017 – Denton Vacuum LLC, a leading supplier of research and production scale thin film technology systems, is pleased to announce its recent hire of David C. Douglass, PhD, who has joined the Denton Vacuum team as Global Product Manager. Dr. Douglass reports to Colin Quinn, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Denton Vacuum. Dr. Douglass will be based in Denton Vacuum headquarters in Moorestown, NJ.
Dr. Douglass comes to Denton with 20 years’ senior-level technical marketing and management experience in bringing new products and technologies to market. Before coming to Denton Vacuum, Dr. Douglass served as Global Product Manager for OFS Fitel overseeing its Fiber Laser technology and products. While at OFS Fitel, Dr. Douglass established a new fiber laser module business, creating its technology road map and product line definition, while leading the product development through to production transfer and manufacturing.
Working with customer’s R&D, sales, engineers, senior management and suppliers, Dr. Douglass has helped organizations achieve record results in providing technically viable and cost-competitive paths for customers. Previously, Dr. Douglass held senior product management technology positions with Veeco Instruments, Sagitta, Inc., Metuchen Analytical, Inc., and AT&T Bell Laboratories.
Dr. Douglass earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA.

David will lead aspects of Denton’s product marketing efforts for the Optics and Sensors segment of Denton’s business, including: defining and executing product strategy, managing the product road map, obtaining voice of customer/marketing requirements, supporting new product development efforts and leading Denton product launch campaigns.
